Product Overview
Designed for wide-web and other large-format flexographic applications, the EVO 5 E combines precise exposure control with automated lid movement, light integration, plate temperature management and recipe-based operation.
Compliance
The EVO 5 E is designed and manufactured in accordance with applicable European Union health, safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
The EU Declaration of Conformity and machine-specific compliance documentation are supplied with each unit.
Plate Compatibility
The EVO 5 E is suitable for analogue and digital, polyester-backed photopolymer flexographic plates, including both solvent-washable and water-washable plate types.
Exposure parameters should always be selected in accordance with the plate manufacturer’s recommendations.
Connsistent Exposure
A light integrator monitors UVA output and automatically compensates for normal variations in lamp performance, helping maintain consistent exposure energy from plate to plate. The water-circulation cooling system and active temperature control stabilise the exposure bed, supporting predictable results throughout the production cycle.
Exposure Nodes
Operators can run exposure by time or by integrated energy in mJ, depending on the selected process. Dedicated functions support lamp warm-up, back exposure, step testing and main exposure.
Analogue plates use the integrated vacuum system to ensure close contact during exposure.
Recipe-Basaed Operation
The intuitive HMI stores up to 24 processing recipes, allowing frequently used plate parameters to be recalled quickly and consistently.
Clear component-status visualisation, protected manual service functions, factory-setting recovery and programmable switch-off simplify routine operation and technical support.
Preventive Component
Alerts
When installed and enabled, the stress-accumulation early-warning function monitors the operating time and cycles of selected critical components.
Preventive alerts indicate when inspection or replacement is recommended, helping reduce the risk of unexpected downtime.
Optional Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics
Optional remote monitoring and diagnostics are available through a secure industrial VPN gateway.
When enabled, the system allows authorised Vianord Certified Engineers to review operating status and support troubleshooting remotely, helping reduce response time and avoid unnecessary service visits.
Plate Format and Thickness
The EVO 5 E accepts plates up to 132 × 203 cm (52 × 80 inches), with a maximum plate thickness of 7 mm (0.276 inches). It is designed for analogue and digital polyester-backed photopolymer flexographic plates, including solvent-washable and water-washable materials.
System Dimensions
Net system dimensions are 320 × 196 × 106 cm (126 × 77.2 × 41.7 inches). Overall height with the lid fully open is 245 cm (96.5 inches). Allow adequate overhead space for safe operation and servicing.
System Weight (net)

Packing Dimensions
and Weights
For standard light packing on a pallet, allow approximately 340 × 210 × 135 cm (133.9 × 82.7 × 53.1 inches) and 1,150 kg (2,535 lb).
For industrial wooden-crate packing, allow approximately 348 × 212 × 149 cm (137.0 × 83.5 × 58.7 inches) and 1,350 kg (2,976 lb).
Final packing specifications may vary with destination and order configuration and should be confirmed before shipment.
Packing Weight
Light Packing on Pallets: 1150kg (2535Ib)
Industrial Wooden Crates: 1350Kg (2976Ib)
The weights mentioned above are for reference only; packaging weight may vary depending on the packing company hired for the job.
Electrical Supplies
The standard electrical configuration is 380–400 VAC, three phase plus neutral and protective earth, 50/60 Hz, with 7 kW installed power and approximately 11 A nominal current.
A 200–240 VAC, three-phase plus protective-earth configuration is available, with 7 kW installed power and approximately 19 A nominal current.
Compressed Air Supply
The system requires a continuous, stable compressed-air supply of 7–10 bar (101.5–145 psi), with average consumption of approximately 70 L/h.
The standard installation kit includes 5 m of Ø 6 mm tubing. Recommended air quality is a pressure dew point of 3 °C and oil content below 0.01 mg/m³.
Operating Environment
Install the EVO 5 E in a clean, controlled prepress room at 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) and 40–60% relative humidity, non-condensing.
Plate storage and processing conditions should also comply with the plate manufacturer’s recommendations.
